BCA Recent Leadership Changes
A recent Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) resulted in some important decisions regarding the company’s leadership structure. One of the key decisions made during the meeting on Wednesday (12/3) was the appointment of Hendra Lembong as the sole candidate for President Director of BCA for the year 2025.
Hendra Lembong, who previously served as Vice President Director of BCA since 2022, alongside Jahja Setiaatmadja, will now take on the role of President Director. In turn, Jahja Setiaatmadja is proposed to fill the position of Commissioner in BCA, replacing Djohan Emir Setijoso, who has officially resigned.
This decision was confirmed through an official letter of convocation for the AGM issued by BCA, indicating changes in the composition of the Board of Commissioners and Directors. Jahja Setiaatmadja is appointed as President Commissioner and Gregory Hendra Lembong as President Director of BCA.
So, who is Hendra Lembong, the newly appointed leader of BCA? He was born on January 23, 1972, in Jakarta. Hendra Lembong is a seasoned banker with an impressive track record in the financial industry. Despite starting his educational background in engineering, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington in the United States, he later pursued further studies in banking at Stanford University.
Hendra Lembong began his career in finance in 1994 at Citibank as a management trainee and steadily climbed the ranks within the company. He held various leadership positions in different countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and London, before joining Deutsche Bank in London. In 2013, he returned to Indonesia and joined PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, where he held strategic positions and eventually moved to BCA.
His career at BCA began as Director overseeing the development of PT Central Capital Ventura and PT Bank Digital BCA. He was later promoted to Vice President Director in 2022. Finally, during the recent AGM, Hendra Lembong was officially appointed as President Director of BCA, succeeding Jahja Setiaatmadja, who transitioned to the role of President Commissioner.
These leadership changes mark a new chapter for BCA under the guidance of Hendra Lembong, a seasoned banking professional with a wealth of experience in the industry. With his background and expertise, he is poised to lead BCA towards continued success and growth in the coming years.
