Andi Taufan Garuda Putra, Founder & CEO of PT Amartha Financial Group, stated that 60 percent of the 3.7 million MSME partners who received business capital from their company are from outside Java. The company has disbursed financing of Rp37 trillion since 2010 to 2025 to MSME players spread across 50 thousand villages throughout Indonesia. Customers of this fintech lending platform come from various business sectors, including trade (53 percent), agriculture (23 percent), livestock (9 percent), services (6 percent), and household industry and others (7 percent).
The diversification of the financing portfolio in various business sectors also reflects the company’s efforts to maintain good governance and risk management. In terms of the company’s performance throughout 2025, Taufan mentioned that they disbursed financing worth Rp13.2 trillion. The growth of Amartha in the previous year was in double digits year-on-year, more than 20 percent, with the NPL around 4 percent.
This growth is attributed to the company’s innovation focusing not only on working capital disbursement but also expanding the reach of financial technology services through the AmarthaFin application, which had more than 1 million users last year. Additionally, the company developed the Payment Point Online Bank (PPOB) service through AmarthaLink, reaching 50 thousand partners, a micro-investment product followed by 130 thousand partners, and a zakat disbursement facility to enhance financial ecosystem inclusivity.
The development of various financial products and services is designed based on a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by grassroots MSMEs, especially in rural areas. The combination of market understanding, relevant products, governance, and partnerships with global institutions form the foundation for Amartha to continue sustainable growth, as stated by Andi Taufan Garuda Putra.
